The Financial Counselor participates in the admission process by responding to inquiries regarding the facility, insurance verification, financial counseling, patient admission, and data entry of all demographic information necessary to appropriately conclude the admission process. Review, analyze and facilitate self-pay collection efforts. Essential job functions include: performing insurance verifications, providing adequate financial counseling to parents/guardians relating to self-pay and/or co-pay of account balances, data entry, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly; actively listening, following appropriate channels of communication, and maintaining and ensuring patient confidentiality per HIPPA regulations.

Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent: Associates Degree in Financial/Accounting Field preferred. Experience: One year of experience preferred.

Hours: Determined by the Director of the Business Office.
