Cnc machinist

Our client is looking to hire skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce high-precision metal and plastic components. In this role, you will read blueprints, adjust machine controls, and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet exact specifications and quality standards. salary: $52,000 - $84,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers by installing tools, loading raw stock, setting work offsets, and aligning fixtures.
• Write, upload, and optimize G-code/M-code programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) or conversational programming directly at the machine controls.
• Run precision machining jobs, monitor feeds and speeds, listen for abnormal tool wear, and adjust controls to maintain tight tolerances.
• Inspect first-article and in-process parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMMs).
• Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize tool paths to reduce cycle times, and recommend fixture/tooling upgrades.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, keep work areas clean and orderly, and adhere strictly to shop safety protocols and PPE requirements.
