Assistant Parts Manager

Assistant Parts Manager Pay range: $20-$26/ hour (based on experience) Location: Cable Dahmer Buick GMC - 907 W 104th St, Kansas City, MO 64114 Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 6:00pm Cable Dahmer Automotive is looking for an experienced Assistant Parts Manager to join our team! We’re seeking someone with a strong background in dealership parts operations, ideally with GM experience, who’s ready to take on a leadership role supporting our Parts Department. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and passionate about creating a seamless experience for both our team members and customers. You’ll assist with day-to-day operations, manage inventory, support our counter staff, and help drive department performance and efficiency. What You’ll Do: Support the Parts Manager in daily operations and workflow of the department. Oversee counter operations, ensuring accuracy and timely service for internal and external customers. Manage inventory levels, process orders, handle returns, and maintain vendor relationships. Collaborate with Service and Sales Departments to ensure parts availability and timely delivery. Help train and develop team members, promoting a positive and productive environment. Monitor department performance and assist in achieving sales and profitability goals. Maintain compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements, and safety standards. What We’re Looking For: 3+ years of experience as a Parts Counterperson, Assistant Parts Manager, or similar role in a dealership setting. GM experience preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and inventory systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with DMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
