Global Development Lead, Internal Medicine (Sr. Director)

Senior director-level clinical leadership role overseeing global development strategy for internal medicine assets at Pfizer. Accountable for clinical development plans, cross-functional team leadership, and regulatory submissions across multiple therapeutic programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional clinical development teams and create comprehensive global clinical development plans for assigned assets
- Develop protocol design documents and oversee study execution in support of worldwide regulatory submissions
- Partner with product team leads and trial clinicians to ensure program delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
- Develop submission-level deliverables including clinical overviews, safety narratives, and regulatory disclosure documents
- Engage external stakeholders including advisory boards, steering committees, and patient advocates to inform clinical strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 12+ years or PhD with 7+ years relevant clinical/industry experience
- Experience leading late-stage cardiometabolic development programs, including type 2 diabetes
- Extensive knowledge of clinical development, global/regional regulation, ICH/GCP, and adverse event management
- Demonstrated experience managing and training large clinical development teams
- Track record in pharmaceutical development with understanding of disease area complexities and regulatory/commercial issues
- Ability to influence and lead effectively in complex matrixed environments
