Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and Draeger or GE ventilator proficiency.

Details

• Respiratory Care unit setting
• May float to general pediatrics/newborn nursery
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Weekend requirement every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Iowa state license required (compact license accepted); license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Draeger or GE ventilator experience required
• Pediatric and newborn nursery experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Current work history/resume required
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission required
• One supervisory reference required

Additional Information

• Contribute clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Travelers are required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited time-off requests during peak holiday periods in late November and late December
• Candidates must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers will be considered
