About the Role:

The Interventional Radiologist - PRN plays a critical role in delivering minimally invasive, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients across various clinical settings. This position requires the ability to independently perform complex interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, biopsies, and drainages with precision and care. The role demands collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-specific treatment plans that optimize outcomes and minimize risks. As a PRN (pro re nata) provider, the Interventional Radiologist must be adaptable, responding efficiently to variable clinical demands while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to improving patient health outcomes through expert procedural skills and clinical judgment in interventional radiology.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a PRN or flexible scheduling environment.
• Familiarity with advanced interventional techniques such as tumor ablation and complex vascular interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong background in patient-centered care and communication skills.
• Participation in research or quality improvement projects related to interventional radiology.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular and non-vascular interventions using imaging guidance such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI.
• Evaluate patient imaging and clinical data to determine the most appropriate interventional approach and provide expert consultation to referring physicians.
• Manage pre-procedural planning, intra-procedural monitoring, and post-procedural care to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures, patient progress, and follow-up care in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
