About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel to take on a pivotal role in leading the drafting, review, and negotiation of transactional and commercial agreements within a deal-driven environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with investment bankers, corporate functions, and senior management to provide pragmatic legal support, as well as for the timely, solution-oriented advice in a high-volume transactional setting. This role also involves driving the adoption of technology and AI tools to enhance legal workflows and ensure scalability. Applicants for this role at The Company should have a JD and be admitted to practice in New York State, with 3-4 years' of M&A and/or general corporate experience at a top-tier law firm. Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to operate independently and deliver practical legal advice. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment. A forward-thinking mindset with an interest in legal technology and AI tools, as well as strong commercial judgment, are also key attributes for the ideal candidate.
