Tender Care Animal Hospital in Prairie du Chien, WI is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team and help us provide top-notch veterinary care to our furry friends.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Provide compassionate care to animals during their stay at the hospital
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
- Perform kennel duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Required Skills:
- Experience in veterinary assisting and small animal care
- Proficient in animal restraint and surgical preparation
- Ability to educate clients on pet care and treatment plans
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills:
- Fear Free Certified
- Knowledge of Cornerstone software
- Knowledge of Idexx In house lab machines
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $34,000 to $44,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes Simple IRA, flexible schedules, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off as well as discounted pet care.
