Pridestaff is looking for 1st shift, 6 am-4 pm, Mon- Thurs, $ 24- $ 27/hr machine operators for our client in Florence, KY
This machine operator sets up, runs, and monitors industrial production machinery used to manufacture coated foam abrasives and related products. The role involves calibrating equipment, loading raw materials, inspecting finished abrasive goods for quality, and performing basic troubleshooting to maintain safe, efficient manufacturing output.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare, calibrate, and start production machinery according to standard operating procedures.
- Material Handling: Load raw foam, abrasive components, or rolls into semi-automated or automated production lines.
- Quality Control: Inspect output regularly using precision tools to catch tears, uneven coating, or dimensional flaws.
- Monitoring & Adjustment: Watch speed, tension, and feed rates during operation, making minor adjustments to keep waste low.
- Maintenance & Safety: Clear minor jams, clean workspace debris, perform routine upkeep, and follow all plant safety rules.
- Production Logging: Record output numbers, downtime, and scrap weights on shift logs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating production machinery is required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control standards.
- Good problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
