Must be eligible for certification and/or licensure according to state regulations. Must be a registered assistant or eligible for registration in Colorado. Ability to comprehend medical terminology and its relevance to therapy, facilitating effective communication with residents, staff, and physicians, as well as preparing insightful reports. Your Responsibilities The COTA will deliver high-quality therapy services to all patients in accordance with physician directives. You will maintain ongoing communication with therapists, residents, and staff regarding the progress of therapy programs; assist therapists with resident-related activities and direct care; and keep departmental records in line with facility policies. Administer therapy treatments and related tasks as assigned by the therapist. Provide therapy to residents based on written orders from their attending physician, specifically: Report on residents’ progress to the therapist and attending physician. Consult with the therapist and physician regarding any changes in residents’ conditions during treatment.
