Patient Outreach Coordinator

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Patient Outreach Coordinator to support clinical research recruitment and engagement at a Tucson site. The role involves contacting prospective study participants, conducting pre-screening, scheduling appointments, and maintaining recruitment records while ensuring compliance with research regulations and patient privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Contact prospective participants through approved channels and respond to inquiries promptly
• Conduct initial pre-screening conversations using approved questionnaires and study criteria
• Schedule and confirm screening visits, appointments, and follow-up communications
• Document patient contacts, pre-screening results, and recruitment metrics in site systems
• Escalate clinical questions and eligibility concerns to qualified research personnel

Requirements

• Effective communication skills across phone, email, text, and other channels
• Ability to engage with patients in clear, patient-friendly language
• Experience with or knowledge of clinical research regulations and HIPAA compliance
• Organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping and tracking
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with clinical research teams
• Proficiency with recruitment systems and basic data entry
