Anticipated Schedule

• This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with one set weekday off and weekends off. Example: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00 AM 6:30 PM
• Occasional holidays are required

Compensation

• Pay range $25-$38/hour , commensurate with experience and licensure
• Up to $5000.00 sign on bonus , commensurate with experience and licensure!!

What You ll Do

As a Licensed Veterinary Technician in our Ophthalmology department , you ll work closely with specialists and clinicians across departments to deliver accurate, high-quality care.

In this role, you will:

• Perform comprehensive ophthalmic patient assessments and obtain accurate histories.
• Assist with ocular examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform and document Schirmer tear tests, tonometry, and fluorescein staining.
• Assist with ocular ultrasound, imaging, and other specialized diagnostics.
• Prepare patients for ophthalmic procedures and surgery.
• Administer and teach clients proper use of ophthalmic medications.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia, procedures, and recovery.
• Maintain ophthalmic instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies.
• Provide compassionate patient handling and support throughout treatment.
• Educate clients on post-operative care, medications, and follow-up instructions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate findings with the veterinary team.
• Support hospitalized ophthalmology patients and monitor changes in ocular condition.
• Accurately draw up, calculate, and administer medications, maintaining patient safety
• Utilize and maintain all monitoring equipment and troubleshoot when needed
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of anesthesia and imaging equipment
• Coordinate ophthalmology needs from other departments
• Uphold standards related to safety, infection control, and OSHA protocols
• Serve as a patient advocate, maintaining accurate treatment and anesthesia records

Who We re Looking For:

• LVT/CVT/RVT licensure in good standing
• Experienced assistants will also be considered
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and time-management skills
• A positive attitude and commitment to helping pets live their best lives
