Environmental Engineer

Environmental EngineerJoin a growing environmental consulting team supporting site assessments, remediation, compliance, and redevelopment projects. This role offers a mix of field and office work, starting at approximately 75% field / 25% office and transitioning to a more balanced split during winter months. Projects are local, typically within an hour of the office.Key Responsibilities:Perform soil, groundwater, air, stormwater, and soil gas samplingConduct environmental compliance inspections and site assessmentsSupport Phase I/II investigations, remediation, and permitting activitiesPrepare technical reports, data analysis, and regulatory documentationAssist with vapor mitigation, remediation systems, and air quality evaluationsCoordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory agenciesManage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with EGLE and other regulationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering3-6 years of environmental engineering experienceEnvironmental sampling and compliance experienceStrong technical writing and data analysis skillsExperience with GIS, LogPlot, or similar softwareValid driver's licensePreferred:40-Hour HAZWOPER CertificationEIT or PE (or pursuing licensure)Air quality, remediation, or vapor mitigation experienceWork Environment: Local field-based work combined with office reporting and analysis. Exposure to residential, municipal, commercial, and industrial projects with strong opportunities for growth and development. Eligible for overtime and double-time pay on qualifying hours.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, MI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
