Volt is immediately hiring Solder Associate - 1st Shift in Moorpark, CA.


As a Solder Associate - 1st Shift you Will:

• Assemble SMT and through-hole components on various types of printed circuit boards using hand-held soldering stations.
• Perform fine-pitch SMT installation and rework, including micro components.
• Rework electronic assemblies using a microscope and hot air rework stations.
• Identify electronic component types, values, and polarities accurately.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Follow IPC standards, company policies, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD safe work area.

This is a Full time, Contract to Hire opportunity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent hands-on experience (required).
• IPC-7711/7721 experience (Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies).
• Experience working with both RoH (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and non RoH assemblies.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, including 2+ years soldering PCBAs.
• Hands-on experience with hot air rework stations.
• Experience working with fine-pitch SMT components and dense boards.
• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing environments and quality standards.
• IPC certification(s) strongly preferred.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 Per hour
