Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist II Acute - Presbyterian Medical Center Schedule: 36 hours/week (ANTS) | Friday/Saturday/Sunday | 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Responsibilities The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in a regional multi-ICU trauma medical center. The technologist is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department, and operating room procedures including biopsies, drainages, cryogen therapy, spinal injections, cardiac imaging, trauma and more. Qualifications ARRT (R) or (N) or CNMT certification required; must obtain ARRT (CT) within 6 months of hire. Prior acute care experience preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. High School Diploma or GED required; 2-Year/Associate Degree preferred. One year experience in CT preferred. Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in CT – RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire; must be certified and registered by ARRT in CT (RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire; applicable state license preferred. Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age-specific needs; prepares patient for procedures and operates CT equipment.
