Position Overview

We are looking for a Family Medicine Physician to enhance our primary care team. This role involves delivering comprehensive, patient-centered primary care in an outpatient environment and serving as a clinical resource for advanced practice providers, nursing staff, residents, students, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

This position aligns with our Patient-Centered Medical Home model, emphasizing continuity of care, preventive health, chronic disease management, and long-term patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care, including preventive services, acute treatment, chronic disease management, and family planning.
• Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, clinical assessments, and medical diagnoses.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate follow-up care.
• Make appropriate referrals for specialty care, diagnostic services, and additional treatments.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely electronic health record documentation.
• Complete billing charges and clinical tasks in line with organizational standards.
• Engage in daily care team huddles, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support initiatives aimed at closing care gaps and enhancing clinical outcomes.
• Provide clinical guidance and oversight to advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other team members.
• Teach and supervise residents, medical students, and allied health professionals as needed.
• Assist in maintaining accreditation readiness, clinical quality measures, and organizational performance goals.
• Safeguard patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and safety.
• Adhere to HIPAA, HRSA, federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of necessary postgraduate clinical training recognized by the relevant state licensing authority.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Florida medical license.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development.
• Ability to effectively engage with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems.

NHSC Loan Repayment Opportunities

Our organization operates locations approved by the National Health Service Corps. Eligible physicians assigned to qualifying locations may apply for federal student loan repayment through the NHSC.

Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians may qualify for:

• Up to $75,000 in student loan repayment for an initial two-year, full-time service commitment.
• Additional repayment opportunities for continued service, subject to NHSC guidelines and eligibility.

NHSC loan repayment is distinct from the physician's salary, productivity incentives, and benefits. Eligibility and award amounts are determined by HRSA based on the provider's qualifications, educational debt, assigned location, service commitment, available funding, and current program requirements.
