Platform Support & Implementation Specialist

Salary: $100,000 - 110,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 3+ years in clinical research operations, including experience in academic or institutional research such as research coordination, research program management, clinical research informatics, CRC, CRA, clinical data, or site management at a university, academic medical center, research institute, CRO, or sponsor.
• We require hands-on experience building study instruments in an EDC, especially REDCap, including project design, longitudinal setups, branching logic, surveys, data dictionaries, and exports.
• We require strong protocol literacy and the ability to identify operational and technical issues before anything is built.
• We require experience supporting external stakeholders such as clients, study sites, investigators, or vendors.
• We require comfort working with software as a system, not only as an end user.
• We require clear, direct written communication for tickets, articles, and explanations.
• We require a self-directed approach with the ability to investigate issues independently and return with a recommended course of action.
• We require fluency with AI tools in day-to-day work, including knowing when to trust outputs and when not to in a regulated clinical setting.
• We prefer exposure to federally funded research such as NIH, ARPA-H, DoD, or similar.
• We prefer decentralized or hybrid trial experience.
• We prefer the ability to own an implementation end to end, including timeline, milestones, UAT, go-live, and handoff.
• We prefer prior experience writing documentation or building a knowledge base.
• We prefer experience running training or onboarding sessions.
• We prefer familiarity with other EDC or eCOA platforms such as Medidata, Veeva, Castor, OpenClinica, or Medrio.
• We prefer experience in a pre-sales, solutions, or implementation role at a vendor.
• We prefer basic SQL skills or a demonstrated ability to pick up similar technical work quickly.
• We require a bachelors degree.
• We require 3 years of experience building study instruments in REDCap or a similar EDC.
• We require 3 years of experience in clinical research operations.

• We own day-to-day platform support for our commercial and academic software clients.
• We diagnose issues, separate platform defects from study configuration problems, resolve what we can, and escalate unresolved issues with enough detail for engineering to act quickly.
• We keep our Clinical Operations project managers and study builders current through training, reference materials, and first-line support for platform questions.
• We maintain and improve our knowledge base so it becomes the first and most trusted source of information.
• We support new client onboarding by helping configure, train, and launch software clients in collaboration with product and Clinical Operations.
• We can own academic implementations end to end, translating protocols into working configurations, running UAT, supporting go-live, and staying available during early enrollment.
• We look for recurring issues and help fix the underlying cause, whether that is a confusing label, a missing default, a documentation gap, or a workflow that needs a product change.
• We bring improvement recommendations to product when repeated support issues reveal a broader problem.
