Adjunct Instructor- Meteorology

Position Summary Weatherford College occasionally has openings for adjunct instructors. Title Adjunct (General Education) Qualifications Required Education: All faculty members must provide minimum SACS credential standards which normally include an earned Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application. Required Experience: None specified. Preferred Education: None specified. Preferred Experience: None specified. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in the approved discipline. Provide instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses. Mentor students inside and outside of the classroom. Create and maintain an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction). Provide instruction in both traditional and non‑traditional learning modes and engage in instructional preparation. Provide timely feedback to students and respond to student communications in a timely manner. Assessment of student performance, including submission of final grades in a timely fashion. Maintain ethical and professional behavior. Be available to students by appointment. Attend adjunct faculty meetings. Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels. Complete any required training. Other related duties, as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses. Provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives associated with all assigned courses. Create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory. Communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers and public groups.
