Receiving Supervisor

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing 3rd shift receiving operations and raw material warehouse activities. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely material availability, efficient warehouse space utilization, and the accurate receipt, storage, and movement of goods to support production requirements. The Receiving Supervisor also leads material replenishment for the New Jersey facility, working closely with Corporate Purchasing, Production, and Operations teams to maintain accurate perpetual inventory records, support cycle counting routines, and ensure materials are delivered to the point of use according to established standard work. Key Responsibilities Manage raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory using ERP reports, pull inventory concepts, and established inventory control procedures. Coordinate material replenishment with Corporate Purchasing to support production needs, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices. Oversee receiving, warehouse, storage, shipping, and material replenishment activities to ensure timely movement of materials to production areas. Maintain inventory control practices that prevent product loss, support accurate receiving and shipping transactions, and reinforce adherence to standard work. Support inventory integrity through cycle count programs, inventory reporting, scrap processing, and ongoing monitoring of inventory accuracy. Drive progress toward long-term cycle count certification goals. Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities that reduce cost, improve productivity, optimize replenishment methods, and standardize warehouse and material handling processes. Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate warehouse and receiving team members by assigning work, monitoring performance, supporting training needs, and promoting a safe, productive, and high-performing work environment. Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional partners to support operational goals, improve warehouse efficiency, and ensure effective planning, organization, delegation, and execution of daily activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout procedures, SQF requirements, food safety standards, and workplace safety practices. Recognize, prevent, and address food safety hazards while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or material handling experience. One to two years of supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Working knowledge of ERP systems, inventory control, cycle counting, material replenishment, shipping/receiving, and warehouse operations. Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, motivate, and develop employees while effectively assigning and monitoring daily work activities. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain inventory accuracy, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Production, Purchasing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams. Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, SQF, and food safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and quality-focused work environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Europastry
