Job Description
NICU Respiratory Therapist - 13 Weeks Contract Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Nights 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with rotating weekend shifts (4 weekend shifts per month).

Job Description

The NICU Respiratory Therapist will be part of an established team providing respiratory care to critically ill newborns. This position requires collaboration with fellow respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard respiratory therapy procedures including nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas sampling.
• Manage ventilators and provide inhaled nitric oxide therapy.
• Assist in bronchoscopy and intubation procedures.
• Transport patients on mechanical ventilation within the hospital.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and various hospital disciplines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting.
• Preferred: Adult critical care experience in ICU or Emergency Department.
