Job Summary Full Time 36 weekly hours, night shift. Sign On Bonus Eligible for experienced candidates. About the Unit Baptist Louisville has two 24 bed all private room Orthopedic units. This is a post-operative surgical telemetry floor specializing in Orthopedics. The Orthopedic program is top-ranked by US News and World Report as a high performing hospital in knee replacements. New Graduate Nurses welcome. Job Duties The Orthopedic Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Orthopedic nurses must have strong critical thinking skills. The Orthopedic nurse acts as a family and patient resource to guide them through all stages of the patient’s orthopedic journey.
