Law Offices of Michael Raff, LLC is hiring an Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Tax Attorney for a hybrid role in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
We’re looking for someone with a solid track record of tax preparation and experience helping clients navigate tax controversies. Someone who enjoys working on the puzzle pieces of a tax return but also knows how to vigorously advocate for a client to a tax authority.
The work includes:
• Preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, including more complex matters such as international taxation and reporting.
• Working on IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue tax controversy matters including audits, administrative litigation, disclosures and collection resolutions.
• Reviewing notices, transcripts, financial records, and supporting documents.
• Communicating with clients and working directly with coworkers to develop practical solutions.
What we’re looking for:
• An active EA, CPA, or Attorney credential.
• Tax preparation familiarity and hands-on tax controversy experience.
• Strong writing, organization, and follow-through.
• An approachable manner and an appreciation for personal, attentive client service.
