Open in Google Maps Job Details Job ID: 4104032 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Re-Posted: Jul 06, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description Qualifications Requires high school diploma or equivalent; prefer three to five years related payroll experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of payroll principles and practices. Prefer fluent Spanish speaking, reading and writing. Reports To Payroll Supervisor Job Goal Maintains employee time keeping for the purpose of payroll. Audits and verifies electronic payroll documents and timesheets, and assures the accuracy and timeliness of all time‑keeping activities. Performance Responsibilities Manages approval structure in automated time‑keeping system. Enters and maintains employee time keeping. Audits and prepares data for payroll processing. Ensures employees and supervisors properly submit time‑keeping data in a timely manner. Analyzes time‑keeping documents, and related transactions in compliance with all applicable District, State, and Federal regulations and policies. Establishes and maintains records, reports of employee accruals, compensated time and overtime. Records adjustments to pay related errors or issues. Maintains district time‑keeping electronic files. Prepares specialized reports and analyses of time‑keeping records. Provides support and training for school office personnel on proper employee time‑keeping processes and procedures. Serves as a resource for district and school site staff in the area of time‑keeping procedures and processes. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. Competencies Perform math, including calculations using fractions, percents, algebraic formulas and/or ratios. Read a variety of manuals; write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others. Understand multi‑step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge‑based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include accounting/bookkeeping principles; and office equipment/software. Problem solving – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Customer service – manages difficult or emotional situations; responds promptly to student, staff, and public needs. Interpersonal skills – maintains confidentiality; creates and maintains a positive and conducive work environment. Oral communication – responds well to questions. Written communication – edits work for spelling and grammar. Diversity – shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences. Ethics – treats people with respect. Organizational support – follows policies and procedures. Professionalism – approaches others in a tactful and positive manner. Safety and security – uses equipment and materials properly. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to work with a variety of people and maintain confidentiality of information. Technology Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet and District software, accounting software, automated time‑keeping software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and other appropriate technology software). The ability to type 40 wpm. The ability to successfully perform ten‑key functions. Knowledge of appropriate business machines and telephones. Monitor special system(s), not limited to, including security and fire alarm systems.
