Economic Development Analyst

Responsibilities Conduct analysis of regional economic conditions including industry mix, employment trends, and small business activity. Analyze key sectors and identify emerging economic opportunities and underserved markets. Evaluate support systems such as lenders, incubators, and workforce programs to identify service gaps. Translate economic data into actionable insights supporting planning and strategy development. Provide market and economic inputs for the CDFI business plan including demand and target market analysis. Support collection of insights during stakeholder engagement activities and assist in synthesis of findings. Maintain clear documentation of data sources, methodologies, and findings consistent with project requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience required. Experience in economic analysis, market research, or regional planning. Strong analytical and research skills. Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively. Certifications not required, but analytical or economic certifications preferred. Highly valued certifications: Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) or similar credentials.
