Electrical Aircraft Technician

Electrical Aircraft TechnicianGMRE is currently recruiting for an Electrical Aircraft Technician. This position is day shift and may be eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards. Position is contingent based on contract award.The Electrical Aircraft Technician will perform maintenance and modifications on assigned aircraft using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and other test support equipment. Operationally checks all systems, sub-systems, and associated line replaceable unit (LRU) removal and installation. Interprets and advises on maintenance procedures and policies to repair aircraft and related equipment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment.Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems, concepts, and application of maintenance directives.Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.GMRE is a small veteran-owned company who cares about our employees. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.Physical RequirementsNormal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
