The Scheduling Coordinator is a critical role within NextMed, ideal for individuals with experience in high-stakes coordination roles. This position requires a high degree of command-and-control skill to coordinate the scheduling of lithotripsy procedures and manage the efficient deployment of Technologists nationwide. Candidates should excel in quick, strategic problem-solving and be adept at making real-time decisions under pressure to ensure that patient needs are met without interruption.

Key Responsibilities

- Nationwide Technologist Coordination: Take command of Technologist scheduling across 700 facilities in 35 states, similar to managing a dispatch or operations center, ensuring all resources are efficiently and effectively allocated to support uninterrupted patient care.

- Complex Problem Solving and Crisis Management: Act swiftly and decisively in high-stakes situations, much like an emergency dispatcher, using logistical expertise to address last-minute scheduling conflicts, cancellations, or urgent changes.

- High-Stakes Decision-Making: Exercise sound judgment and leadership to prioritize and address multiple scheduling needs, making critical decisions in real-time as demands arise from various locations across the country.

- Interdepartmental Communication and Coordination: Serve as the central communication point, coordinating with internal departments, doctors' offices, and facilities to ensure all parties are aligned and informed.

- Emergency Response and On-Call Availability: Be prepared to respond to urgent scheduling needs, exercising a high degree of situational awareness and control, similar to an operations specialist in emergency or high-security environments.

- Precision in Resource and Equipment Management: Track and manage essential equipment, including monthly radiation badges for Technologists, maintaining an organized, systematic approach to resource deployment and tracking.

- Proactive Issue Identification and Reporting: Detect and report critical scheduling issues to management promptly, providing well-thought-out solutions and ensuring a clear understanding of the logistics involved.

- Additional Responsibilities: Embrace other assigned duties, contributing to team goals with a strong command of scheduling logistics and operational awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

- Education: High school diploma or GED (or equivalent working experience).

- Skills:

- Exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills, with the ability to quickly analyze and resolve high-stakes logistical issues.

- Strong command-and-control capabilities, similar to those in roles like dispatch, yard coordination, or operations management.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying critical information efficiently.

- High level of organizational ability to handle complex, high-volume scheduling with precision.

- Proficiency with standard office software and equipment; familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

- Ability to perform under pressure and make informed decisions with tight time constraints.
