Travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,317 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Care Practitioner Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Oklahoma City, OK. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a Peds-RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. As a Peds-RRT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks: Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation. Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluate equipment for proper and safe function. Report malfunctions to director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support. Peds-RRTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Peds-RRTs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Peds-RRTs must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have 1 year of experience. Must have NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
