A Brief Overview

Under the direction of the Radiology Manager and IR Lead Technologist, operates radiographic equipment to obtain optimum imaging of designated portions of the body to aid in diagnosis of disease, measure progress of disease, and treat disease when applicable.

What You Will Do

1. Performs various special procedures that produce radiographic imaging of optimum diagnostic quality according to department policy and procedure daily.

2. Operates Routine, IR, and fluoroscopic equipment according to department policy and procedure.

3. Provides and supports interdepartmental teamwork set forth by the radiology administrator.

4. Maintains workstation area and equipment.

5. Responsible for maintaining the continuing education required for this position.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED - Required

Technical Diploma Radiology Program - Required

Experience Qualifications

At least one (1) year experience in the field of diagnostic radiology - Required or

At least one (1) year experience in Interventional Radiology - Required

Pediatric experience - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - upon hire - Required

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - issued through an organization that requires a hands-on instructor to lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). - within 12 months - Required

Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Preferred

Computed Tomography (CT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Preferred

Skills and Abilities

Responsible for maintaining the continuing education required for this position (Required proficiency)

Complete mandatory education on-line tutorials 100% of the time. (Required proficiency)

Obtains 12 CE credits/year. (Required proficiency)

Participates and contributes to team projects. (Required proficiency)

Attend IR case conference and educational M&M sessions when applicable. (Required proficiency)

Attends CCD classes if necessary. (Required proficiency)

SALARY RANGE:

$36.60 - $46.65 Hourly
