Job Summary The Senior Operations Manager manages clinical and business operations of orthopaedic surgery clinics, leading improvement initiatives to achieve measurable outcomes, enhance patient satisfaction, and reduce costs. The role projects multiple initiatives, develops implementation roadmaps, facilitates action with concrete deliverables, creates data analytics, develops performance dashboards, and leads structured improvement projects ranging from large‑scale transformations to focused events. The position also builds collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrators to secure support for change and sustain improvements. Essential Duties Project Management: Collaborate with management on planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet objectives; deliver tasks with conflicting priorities under budget and deadlines. Business Analysis: Conduct cost‑benefit analyses, organize work structure, and facilitate documentation for business plans and decision‑making; produce accurate reports and recommendations. Communication & Interpersonal: Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, faculty, patients, and families; convey complex problems and proposals in formal and informal settings. Accreditation Preparation: Prepare departments for accreditation processes. Operations Management: Oversee clinic operations, quality performance, and patient satisfaction; develop business cases; ensure staff effectiveness, workflow, and financial health. Service Delivery Oversight: Manage radiology, referrals, counseling services; guide satellite clinics; maintain operational efficiency and workforce engagement. Training & Development: Identify learning opportunities, develop training paths, and train staff. Project Leadership: Own or lead projects assigned by regional leadership; ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Patient Satisfaction Monitoring: Track satisfaction through surveys, complaints, and online reviews. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic business development or ambulatory operations within a healthcare setting, with progressive responsibility and experience managing large, complex projects. Extensive experience leading and facilitating work‑team change management initiatives and identifying patterns to enhance performance. Management experience with direct supervisory responsibilities for non‑clinical and/or clinical staff in ambulatory or physician practice operations. Experience with compliance, patient satisfaction programs, and familiarity with business and clinical processes. Comprehensive understanding of process redesign and continuous quality improvement methodologies and tools. Strong project management skills: develop plans, monitor progress, manage resources, and deliver projects within specified periods. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including cost‑benefit analysis and data management. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior management and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Access, Project). Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field. Additional experience with compliance and patient satisfaction programs. Required Licenses / Certifications Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not held).
