The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Territory Sales Manager, Compact Construction Equipment for John Deere Construction and Forestry located in Greenville/Spartanburg, SC, you will:Serve as the primary business lead working with dealers to engage key customers, drive the sales of whole goods and attachments, coordinate with territory team members, and support local/regional events and associationsCollaborate with dealers to manage sales processes and drive sales growthAct as lead within the assigned territory to implement strategic initiatives with products and solutionsDrive effective use of incentives and programs to accomplish sales targetsArrange and execute product, application, and sales process training with dealersAct as compact construction product information expert and training resourceWhat Skills You Need4+ years in the construction or off-road equipment industry with sales and/or marketing experienceExperience working with large dealer networksDemonstrated field experience, managing a large profitable territoryAbility to apply business concepts and tools to tactical and strategic initiatives, working closely with a dealer organizationProficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and WordAbility to travel up to 75%, mainly within the assigned territory, to work with dealers and visit customersWhat Makes You Stand OutHigh level understanding of the Compact Construction industry and productsField experience with regular customer contacts and knowledge of dealer/distribution networksUnderstanding of customer segments, production systems, and their various requirementsProven ability to influence without authority while working with dealers and field managersExperience/skills with sales, handling objections, and effective negotiationsEducationIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or EngineeringEquivalent experience will be consideredWhat You'll GetAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
