Genesis Health Clubs is looking for a motivated, organized, and people-focused Operations Manager to become a key member of our club leadership team.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems, building relationships, and taking ownership of daily club operations. You'll lead our Front Desk team, support member services, coordinate club activities, and work directly with the Club Manager to deliver an exceptional experience for our members.

We're looking for a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes action—someone who can develop a great team, hold people accountable, and create an environment where members feel welcomed and valued.

What You'll Own

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, and develop the Front Desk team
• Maintain appropriate Front Desk coverage while effectively managing departmental payroll
• Coach employees and provide consistent performance feedback
• Lead Front Desk meetings and maintain strong communication across the team
• Ensure the Front Desk and lobby consistently meet Genesis service and presentation standards
• Support member account needs, including membership changes, freezes, cancellations, and account follow-up
• Proactively resolve member questions and concerns
• Oversee cash-handling procedures, deposits, and Front Desk reporting
• Monitor staffing hours and payroll to operate the department efficiently
• Help plan, promote, and execute club socials and member events
• Work closely with the Club Manager and department leaders to achieve club goals
• Step in and support Front Desk operations when additional coverage is necessary
• Help create a positive, accountable, high-energy culture throughout the club

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in hospitality, fitness, sales, customer service, or a related field
• Natural leadership ability and a desire to develop and motivate others
• Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills
• Highly organized with excellent follow-through
• Ability to resolve problems and member concerns professionally
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and time-management skills
• Comfortable using Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software
• Passion for health, fitness, and creating an exceptional member experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership without needing constant direction

Compensation & Performance Bonuses

• $36,000 annual base salary
• Performance-based bonus opportunities
• $50,000+ annual earning potential
• Bonus performance is tied to key operational results, including Front Desk payroll efficiency, member-service follow-up, account management, and member experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time leadership position with a flexible schedule. Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays is required based on the needs of the club. CPR and First Aid certification are also required.
