Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab/EP RN responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role requires experience in both Cath Lab and IR settings, with a focus on patient safety and procedure support.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and other interventional procedures.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures, including hemodynamic and arrhythmia management.
• Prepare and maintain procedural equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Administer medications, including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and sedatives, as required.
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately in EPIC electronic health records.
• Provide patient education and post-procedure care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY registered nurse license.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and IR lab settings.
• Demonstrate competency in procedural sedation, phlebotomy, and IV placement.
• Proficient in EPIC charting system.
• Knowledge of cardiac and vascular procedures, including stent placements, IABP, Impella, and embolizations.
• Ability to work day shifts (4x10 hours) and float as required.
