Onsite Lab Coordinator

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the manager of site services and will work closely with Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Hourly Range: $25 - $26 Shift: Monday - Friday Location: Boulder, CO Benefits: Health and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision and Wellness programs (eligible for medical coverage on day 1) Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO), and company paid holidays Financial Well Being: Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), commuter benefits, 401(k), tuition assistance, employee stock purchase plan discount Added Protection Coverage: Critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident, legal, identity theft protection, pet, auto and home insurance Recognition: Celebrate your peers and earn points to redeem on gifts and products What we’re looking for: Education: High school diploma or GED is required Experience: 1+ years laboratory or related experience (academic lab experience considered) Collaboration Tools: Microsoft Office proficiency with Word and Excel Ability to conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety policies, and security clearances Experience in GMP or regulated environments preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Teams and inventory systems preferred Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and reporting tools such as Power BI Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally Adaptable, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking Knowledge of inventory control practices (FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, lot tracking) Understanding of chemical handling, storage, and safety requirements Ability to lift 25 lbs and work in a dynamic lab environment In this role you will: Provide laboratory support services, which may include glassware washing and drying, stocking laboratory consumables and supplies, maintaining organization and cleanliness of designated laboratory support areas Handle hazardous materials as part of waste disposal and disposal coordination Execute inventory management-related functions such as monitoring slow-moving and dead inventory, conducting cycle counts, yearly physical inventories, and reporting Provide daily customer service functions and communicate with the customer relative to inventory management and laboratory support needs Responsible for all customer service-related functions, including but not limited to order entry, reporting, maintaining metrics, and cost savings tracking Interface directly with internal and external customer points of contact Utilize VWR and customer computer systems (SAP, Citrix, Intranet, VWR+, ChemSW, and other customer-specific systems) to fulfill job duties Meet established goals and objectives related to safety, performance, and quality Create programs and process improvements to enhance service efficiencies Document change management activities Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification. Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
