Manufacturing Operator/Tech

About The Role We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Flexible High Performing Manufacturing team and work the 3rd Shift at our Elk Mills 5 facility. This role ensures that operational objectives and business needs are met by cross-training and providing support across multiple manufacturing areas and equipment as required. Standard hours will be 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland. Pay And Benefits $19 - $37 per hour This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Factors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. More details are available at Responsibilities Operate manufacturing equipment (including troubleshooting, accurate record keeping and data entry, and preventative maintenance). Utilizing quality systems, work instructions, and SOPs to consistently deliver products that meet customer requirements, both internal & external. Identifying and actively participating in continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing practices. Following and advocating all safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment, and completing 100% of monthly and yearly safety training and completing and ensuring all area training documents are complete and up to date. Working independently and within a diverse team and contributing to a high performing manufacturing environment. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience operating manufacturing equipment. Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to learn more advanced computer applications (i.e. manufacturing execution systems, enterprise resource planning systems) as well as good documentation and record keeping skills. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrate the ability to be motivated and a positive influence on team and teammates. Work independently as well as in a team environment. Be willing to adapt to changing business needs, with a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and alternate between shifts and areas if business needs. Must be able to lift 35 pounds as necessary, operate a powered industrial vehicle, and stand for long periods of time. Ability to travel up to 5%.
