This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization that values safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.What's in it For You:Access to best-in-class resources, tools, technology, and continuous educationThrive in a company that values a culture of safety, including top-notch safety training and personal protective equipmentPride in working for a company that provides clean water, safe food, abundant energy, and healthy environmentsOpportunity to work with a collaborative team focused on reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellenceComprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, and moreWhat You Will Do:Read and correct the following drawings: Piping and Instrument Drawings (P&ID), Electrical Drawings, Instrument Loop Drawings, SchematicsTroubleshoot, repair, and calibrate all plant instrumentation and electrical equipment as necessary.Able to install, repair, and complete revisions to plant instrumentation and electrical equipment while following drawings and making "As Built" corrections or drawings as needed.After being trained in the use of the DocuMint Database and Calibrations, will use them for scheduling, calibration, and documentation of plant instrumentation.Maintains the instrumentation and electrical spare parts inventory.Performs all work while emphasizing safety and maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally compliant work area.Supports the guiding principles of Responsible Care to continually improve Freeport plant's safety, health and environmental performance, security, and efforts to respond to public concerns relating to design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products.Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by "doing it right the first time" and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties.Supports and incorporates the activities of Continuous Improvement into ongoing work duties through teamwork within and across departments. Uses Continuous Improvement to eliminate losses and waste that hamper facility effectiveness so that safety is advanced, process and equipment are reliable, quality is stabilized/improved, and operating costs are reduced.Position Details:Plant located in: Freeport, TXWork week and shift: Regular hours Monday through Friday, with the exception of a weekend rotational on-call responsibilityMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED2 years of experience in I/E in an industrial maintenance environmentGood analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manualsMust have the ability to don a respiratorMust have the ability to wear fall protection if necessaryMust be able to work in confined spaces and be capable of working at elevation, including from a manlift or ladderNo immigration sponsorship offeredPhysical Demands:Ability to bend, squat down, and reach above your headAbility to climb stairs and laddersAble to lift and carry up to 50 poundsRole is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testingPreferred Qualifications:Formal vocational training or certification in a plant maintenance area of expertiseForklift operation certifiedAbility to work independently with minimal direct supervisionPrior chemical plant maintenance experienceAbout UsChampionX is now part of SLB, a global technology company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.
