We are currently seeking a CMDB Data Health & Quality Analyst to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Title: CMDB Data Health & Quality Analyst:

Position Overview

We are seeking a mid-level CMDB Data Health & Quality Analyst to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of enterprise configuration data. You will analyze data discrepancies, drive data quality improvements, and collaborate closely with technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

CMDB Data Analysis & Quality Monitoring

• Dashboard Governance: Monitor the ServiceNow CMDB Health Dashboard daily/weekly to identify Completeness, Correctness, and Compliance anomalies.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Analyze orphaned, stale, duplicate, or unverified Configuration Items (CIs).
• Data Cleansing: Investigate root causes behind health metric failures and execute targeted remediation activities rather than solely managing the platform’s administrative backend.
• Metric Reporting: Develop and maintain analytics, KPIs, and reports to communicate data health trends to IT leadership and stakeholders.

Process Management & Governance

• CI Attestation Lists: Manage CI data certification processes. Coordinate with CI Owners and Data Stewards to verify configuration data validity, lifecycle status, and ownership accuracy.
• Exclusion List Management: Control and maintain CI exclusion lists in ServiceNow, ensuring that temporary or rogue configurations are tracked and evaluated for eventual compliance.
• Standards Enforcement: Champion CSDM (Common Service Data Model) alignment and assist in establishing best practices for CI naming conventions and data standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the bridge between technical operations, asset management, and system administrators to validate and improve data inputs from discovery tools (e.g., Service Graph Connectors, Discovery).

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or a dedicated data quality/analytics role.
• Tool Expertise: Strong hands-on proficiency with ServiceNow, specifically navigating and interpreting the CMDB Health Dashboard, CI Class Manager, and core ITSM modules.
• Analytical Skills: Solid data manipulation and problem-solving abilities. Experience utilizing reporting tools, building scorecards, and utilizing SQL or custom filters.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of configuration management frameworks and data quality dimensions.
• Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management. Must have the ability to articulate data issues and required remediation actions clearly to non-analyst audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – CMDB or IT Service Management.
