Lead Specialist - Sourcing

Summary:The Lead Specialist, Sourcing is responsible for developing sourcing strategies to reduce costs while developing an understanding of vendor spend. A successful candidate should have experience with sourcing events and category analysis. Experience in the fuel/midstream/energy space is also desired. The scope of the position will include execution of sourcing processes, contract & supplier management, development of supplier scorecards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead analysis, development and implementation of cost savings initiativesProvide strategic inputs and supply market information to guide business decisions and act as a conduit for procurement activitiesCoordinate negotiations, contract development, contract implementation, and supplier contract complianceWork with appropriate operations team to identify areas of opportunityQuantify savings related to opportunity and work with business team to ensure savings are realized through vendor management and budget processConduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levelsLead the suppliers and stakeholders of the supply chain through effective engagement and communication by delivering supplier awareness programs.Solicit advice from manager regarding procurement processes and protocol and apply appropriate solutions to issues for stakeholders.Requirements:Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:Bachelor's degree in a business, supply chain, or technical discipline or equivalent work experienceExperience in supporting supplier portfolio developmentCustomer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliableProven record of driving cost savings throughout a complex organizationAbility to structure and manage complex projectsService-oriented mindset, with a desire to ensure client satisfactionAbility to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendationsYears of work experience: 8+ years of experienceData analytics, sourcing, procurement systems, and customer service. Business software applications: Microsoft Office, APTTUS/Agiloft or other contract management software, and SAP or other purchasing software. Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
