Accounting Manager

This role is open due to growth. This is aCorporate Accounting Manager role that will work directly with the Controller and have broad exposure across technical accounting, financial reporting, acquisitions, internal controls, and corporate accounting for a public company.

Responsibilities:

• Corporate accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close activities
• Assisting with 10-Qs, 10-Ks, SEC reporting, and public company financial reporting
• Technical accounting including leases, debt, acquisitions, purchase accounting, and new accounting pronouncements
• Internal controls, audit support, and technical accounting memorandums
• Working closely with Property Accounting, Underwriting, Property Management, and executive leadership

Skill set and experience:

• CPA required
• 6+ years of accounting or auditing experience
• Public accounting and/or public company accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GL accounting
• Hands-on SEC reporting experience is preferred
• Experience with technical accounting topics including ASC 842, ASC 470, and ASC 360
• Real estate, lease accounting, and/or REIT experience strongly preferred

Depending on experience, the position will pay $125k-$140k + 15%-20% bonus + 15%-20% stock-based compensation.
