Medical Billing Specialist

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join their client's team in Fresno. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of medical billing tasks and involves direct interaction with patients and team members to ensure seamless billing operations.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics and identify proper pay sources.
• Confirm coverage eligibility and prepare claims for submission.
• Document thoroughly and enter data accurately into the system.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Assist customers with billing questions and set up payment plans.
• Manage verbal and written inquiries efficiently.
• Collaborate with the billing team to ensure cross-training and provide coverage during absences or high-demand periods.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ensure excellent customer service and organizational skills are applied at all times.

Requirements

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday during first shift hours.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive pay range of $21 - $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
