Job Summary:
The Patient Services Scheduling Representative is responsible for scheduling patients, verifying insurance and registration information, and providing administrative support in a hospital or medical office setting.

Job Summary:
The Patient Services Scheduling Representative is responsible for scheduling patients, verifying insurance and registration information, and providing administrative support in a hospital or medical office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and pre-service activities.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility information.
- Provide professional customer service to patients, providers, and insurance companies.
- Maintain accurate patient and scheduling records.
- Use medical terminology and knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes as required.
- Operate computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers.
- Use Microsoft Office and Outlook for daily tasks.
- Follow department policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of hospital experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting, including registration.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Pre-employment examination required.
