Working Schedule: Day Shift || Monday through Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)


Job Summary:


The Patient Services Scheduling Representative is responsible for scheduling patients, verifying insurance and registration information, and providing administrative support in a hospital or medical office setting.


Responsibilities:

• Schedule patient appointments and pre-service activities.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Provide professional customer service to patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate patient and scheduling records.
• Use medical terminology and knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes as required.
• Operate computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers.
• Use Microsoft Office and Outlook for daily tasks.
• Follow department policies and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of hospital experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting, including registration.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred: Some college coursework in business communication or data entry and at least 1 year of healthcare insurance verification experience.


Pre-employment examination required.
