CNC Process Engineer -- CNC Machining (35112)

Overview An automotive parts manufacturer near Pendleton, IN is seeking a Production Engineer responsible for the development of CNC manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong working knowledge of CNC lathes and turning centers, and experience developing and maintaining CNC programs for turning centers. Responsibilities Support, evaluate, and develop CNC turning center manufacturing methods for high volume production Maintain, update, and troubleshoot CNC programs Analyze workflow and equipment layout Specify tooling requirements for production Act as technical lead to CNC engineering technicians Install initial start-up of equipment Interact with vendors to determine appropriate specifications and purchase equipment Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience 3 years of CNC equipment experience preferred Experience with CAD software and strong working knowledge of machine G&M code Excellent written and verbal communication skills Automotive manufacturing experience ideal Strong problem-solving skills Employment details This is a full-time, direct-hire position with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K and PTO.
