Job Overview Mechatronics & Robotics Technician – JLL Supports the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. Will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventive maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across the Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49lb and perform standing and walking during shifts lasting up to 12hours. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventive maintenance procedures. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience. 1+ year of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles. Experience with MHE safety standards per OEM and industry standards. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical ability to lift parts and tools weighing up to 49lb and handle repetitive manual motions. Physical Demands Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20lb, occasionally up to 49lb. Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedaling, and wrist motion. Working in small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and on concrete surfaces for 10+ hour shifts. Ability to work at heights, push/pull wheeled equipment up to 100lb, and maneuver bulky parts in cramped positions. Benefits 401(k) plan with matching contributions.
