BEPC is actively looking for Medical Device Manufacturing Operator, in Westford, MA area!

W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.50/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: Onsite – 1st Shift - 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Note : This is a W2 only role — C2C, C2H will not be considered

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Medical Device Manufacturing Operator to join our client’s site in Westford, MA. This role will support the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell, performing assembly, repair, and testing operations on catheters and related medical device assemblies.

Working under close supervision, the individual will perform routine assignments following specified and standardized procedures while maintaining accurate production documentation, ensuring product traceability, and supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on catheters and related medical device assemblies.
• Manufacture high-quality medical devices within a designated manufacturing cell.
• Complete routine assignments according to specified and standardized procedures under close supervision.
• Ensure relevant documentation for manufacturing cell operations and functions remains accurate and up to date.
• Maintain accurate production records, traveler documentation, and quality documents to ensure product traceability and facilitate the resolution of quality issues.
• Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly to all levels of manufacturing management, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, including during facility tours.
• Follow established safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during all operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
• Apply a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to establish and monitor individual goals and manufacturing cell performance metrics.
• Support divisional initiatives identified by management.
• Follow requirements related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Main Qualifications: 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
• Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequence and timing of different tasks based on precedence and importance.
• Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
• Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and established manufacturing procedures.

Manufacturing Environment – Dress Code Requirements: 

The following dress code applies during the interview facility tour and while working in production areas.

Clothing and Fabric Requirements

• Clothing must be non-shedding and free of frayed hems, loose threads, and visible contamination such as dirt, sand, mud, or lint.
• Tassels, fringes, glitter, sequins, and other items that may become dislodged are prohibited.
• Fabric must not release fibers when pulled tightly with fingers.
• Sweaters, sweater vests, loose-fiber garments, loose-knit clothing, and fleece are prohibited.
• Clothing worn above the waist must fit completely underneath the lab coat or gown.
• Turtlenecks, high-neck clothing, and sleeves must not extend beyond the lab coat or gown.
• Loose-fitting clothing is prohibited around machinery or soldering/brazing torches.

Head Coverings

• Caps, hats, scarves, and bandanas are not permitted underneath the bouffant.
• Head wraps or scarves worn to accommodate customs must be made of tightly woven, clean, laundered fabric.
• These coverings must fit underneath the bouffant, with the tail fully covered by the lab coat or gown.

Footwear

• Shoes must be worn at all times in production areas.
• Socks or stockings are required.
• Shoe heels must not be pointed or higher than 2 inches.
• Sandals, clogs, slippers, open-toe shoes, open-heel shoes, and footwear with visible toes are prohibited.
• Shoes may only be changed in designated gowning rooms, not in production areas.

Personal Appearance and Hygiene

• The torso, upper arms, and legs must remain covered.
• Pants or skirts ending above the ankle, skirts with slits, shirts exposing the navel, and sleeveless tops are prohibited.
• Ankle-length skirts are permitted when worn with full-length stockings, leggings, or pants underneath.
• Nail polish, acrylic nails, artificial nails, and similar nail coatings are prohibited.
• Jewelry and body piercings that could puncture gloves or cannot be covered by gowning materials are prohibited.
• Makeup and eyelash extensions are prohibited.
• Stick-form lip balm is permitted only when applied outside production areas and before handwashing.
• Scented personal care products are prohibited, except deodorant.
• Lotions must not be applied after handwashing.
• Open or bleeding wounds must be covered with a bandage.
• Clothing or accessories that could be considered offensive are prohibited.
