Underwriting Assistant

Supporting the underwriting departments remotely, the full-time Underwriting Assistant will provide pre-quote transaction support, manage post-bind transactions, and collaborate with team members to streamline processes. Key responsibilities Validate data entry and assist in verifying documentation for coverage and limits prior to transaction completion Review and process bind orders, ensuring accuracy before policy issuance, and manage post-bind transactions such as endorsements and cancellations Communicate with producers and other departments to resolve issues and enhance operational efficiency Required qualifications High school diploma/GED required; college degree preferred Strong expertise in surplus lines policy issuance and post-bind operations Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent math and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
