Work Environment

This position is based onsite at an assisted living facility in Plano, Texas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations, focusing on women's health issues.
• Develop, document, and communicate individualized care plans, providing thorough follow-up to ensure each patient receives necessary screenings and preparations.
• Conduct daily patient rounds to monitor progress, address concerns, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Prescribe and manage medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests, ensuring optimal treatment for women's health conditions.
• Interpret laboratory results and coordinate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee the best possible patient outcomes.
• Prepare discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals, ensuring patients understand post-discharge care and follow-up requirements.
• Complete related duties as assigned, all of which are considered essential functions of the role under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will be focused on serving a diverse population of women in an assisted living environment. Patients range from young adults to seniors, each with unique health needs. Your role will involve addressing a variety of women's health concerns, including reproductive health, menopause management, and chronic disease prevention, enabling women to live healthier lives.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program with a concentration in Women’s Health and National Board Certification in Women’s Health required.
• Current Texas license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a collaborative practice agreement with clear protocols as per Texan state guidelines.
• Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in women's health or related medical specialty is preferred.
• Experience working with geriatric populations within an assisted living facility is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
