Art Therapy & Creative Counseling LLC is seeking full-time licensed Art Therapist (LPC, LCSW, and/or ATR) to join our newly renovated Essex office. As a diverse group psychotherapy practice, we support clinicians' passions and creativity while promoting flexible work-life balance and a thriving caseload. This position primarily serves children, adolescents, and mixed-age groups through individual and expressive arts therapy modalities in an independent clinician role, with some team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual art therapy and expressive arts therapy sessions
• Conduct client counseling with children, adolescents, and adults
• Manage cases effectively and coordinate care with providers
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation following CT laws and ethical codes
• Participate in weekly group supervision and bi-weekly individual supervision
• Collaborate with the clinical team when required
• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients per week

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health or related field
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or ATR certification
• Connecticut mental health license

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mental health counseling
• Specialized experience in art therapy and child/adolescent therapy
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and case management
• Strong collaboration, time management, and professional ethics skills
• Trauma certification is a plus
• Experience with expressive arts therapy
