ReceptionistAt ServisFirst, Our Name is Our Mission.The Receptionist position is responsible for operating a multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel or department. The position also involves greeting on-site visitors as their first point of contact and handling various administrative duties as needed.The incumbent will:Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of call and forward calls to appropriate personnel or departmentRetrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnelTake and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailableAnswer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions and other informationWelcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnelMonitor visitor accessFunction as a notary public as neededPrepare set up for monthly board meetingsReceive, sort and route mail to appropriate personnel or departmentMeter mail and deliver to post office as neededOrder beverages, make coffee and check cleanliness of conference roomsPerform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, faxing, photocopying and collatingResponsible for being familiar with all compliance regulations and policies that are applicable to this position and follow and ensure compliance with these regulations and policiesNote: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified associates/applicants with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.The minimum qualifications for this position consist primarily of:High school diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of experience working with customersAbility to follow instructionsExperience working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptionsExcellent verbal communication skillsThe physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of:Sustained standing and sittingFrequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitorOccasional lifting of basic office files or equipment up to 20 lbsNormal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low level noiseEOE/AA
