Positions and instructs the patient for radiological or fluoroscopic examinations, adjusts imaging equipment, and determines the proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each image. May prepare patient for x-ray by administering contrast IV and non-IV. Technologists focus on infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.Pay RangeMinimum $35.82 Midpoint $47.46 Maximum $59.10Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.Experience• Required: Newly graduated from an accredited Radiography Program with less than six (6) months clinical experience.• Preferred: One (1) year of acute care technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital.Education• Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiography/Radiologic Technology• Preferred: NoneTraining• Required: None• Preferred: NoneSpecialized Skills• Required: Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction.
