Assistant Physical Therapist

Role: The Physical Therapist assesses patients’ strengths and weaknesses to develop effective treatment plans, aiming to promote healing, reduce pain, and enhance functional independence. They examine patients, implement and monitor care plans, and provide patient education and training on activities of daily living and therapeutic exercises. The therapist collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines. Additionally, they oversee support staff and contribute to community outreach through presentations. Qualifications & Skills: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (Doctorate preferred), valid licensure, completed CEU requirements, and CPR certification are required. Candidates should possess strong clinical decision-making, excellent communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with EMR software and a dedicated work ethic are preferred. Key Duties Conduct patient evaluations, document findings, and develop treatment plans. Execute and modify plans based on patient progress. Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, joint mobilization, and modalities. Educate patients and support systems on treatment and community reintegration. Manage caseload and oversee support staff. Maintain accurate documentation for billing and compliance.
