Assistant Golf Professional

Long Run Golf Course is looking for an energetic, customer-focused Assistant Golf Professional to join one of Kentucky's busiest and fastest-growing public golf facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to spend the late summer and fall training alongside our PGA professionals and preparing to take on a major leadership role for the 2027 golf season. Whether you're already pursuing a career in golf or simply have a passion for it with outstanding customer service, this position provides hands-on experience in every aspect of golf operations. You'll learn tournament administration, merchandising, instruction, golfer development programs, food and beverage operations, staff leadership, and daily golf course management while helping deliver an exceptional experience for thousands of golfers each year. Preferred Qualifications Passion for the game of golf with a strong knowledge of golf etiquette and rules. Previous experience working at a golf course, driving range, golf shop, or related customer service position is preferred. PGA Associate, PGA Member, or desire to pursue PGA Membership is encouraged. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during tournament events. Essential Responsibilities Manage daily tee sheet operations and ensure an outstanding customer experience. Assist with golf tournaments, outings, leagues, junior golf, clinics, and golfer development programs. Supervise clubhouse staff and assist with daily operations. Open and close the clubhouse. Assist with merchandise, food and beverage, and inventory management. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming golf shop. Support marketing initiatives, special events, and member engagement.
